Expectations for our volunteers: Be friendly and courteous to our customers and staff. Must volunteer for at least one shift in a 3 month period to remain active. What kinds of events and jobs? Usher at large indoor shows. Help tidy up before and after shows. Assist staff on large events such as Zombie Fest, Milton Pride, St. Patrick’s Day & more! It’s easy! Sign up for shifts online here: ONLINE SIGN UP About the Milton Theatre The Milton Theatre, located in historic downtown Milton Delaware, has had an illustrious history in its more than 100 year existence. Erected circa 1910, the two-story building served, at one time or another, as the town’s movie theatre, basketball hall, fire station, social center & community stage. Various retail businesses & restaurants also thrived there. It has survived 3 major fires, countless “nor’easters”, and decades of neglect. But now, it proudly stands as a hub of artistic culture, not just to the town of Milton, but to the Delmarva Peninsula.

BRANDEN & JAMES return to Milton with a brand new show, Broadway At The Beach featuring songs from West Side Story, Wicked, Mary Poppins, Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen, Lion King, and so much more! Their heartfelt storytelling and thrilling arrangements will have you on your feet by the end of the evening. Special guest Danny Zelibor will join them on piano. The Bay Area Reporter”Hardly a supporting player, but, rather, a true co-creator and co-star” (Robert Windeler, NY Times Music Correspondent) Australian cellist James, began creating arrangements of familiar tunes that make you listen as you’ve never heard them before. Branden, a former finalist on America’s Got Talent & resident tenor at The Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Los Angeles Opera; recently penned a memoir entitled, Lyrics of My Life which entered Amazon Books new releases at #9. It was published by Simon & Schuster in September, 2020.Since forming a duo, they’ve been touring around the world with their innovative, classically inspired pop songs, and their undeniable charm and wit. In 2021-2022, they will launch a 60-city US tour called The Chasing Dreams Tour to promote their recently released debut album aptly named Chasing Dreams. Shortly after its release, BRANDEN & JAMES were named best unsigned artists in North America by Music Connection magazine. He is best known for stage and film adaptations of his musicals Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), Cats (1994), Evita (1996), and The Phantom of the Opera (2004).He was born on March 22, 1948, in South Kensington in London, England, the first of two sons of William Lloyd Webber, an organist and composer. His mother, Jean Johnstone, was a pianist and violinist. Young Andrew Lloyd Webber learned to play various musical instruments at home and began composing at an early age. He continued his music studies at Westminster School, where his father was an organist. At the age of 9, young Andrew was able to play the organ and assisted his father during performances. Step into the spotlight! This winter, we’re thrilled to present “Mega Musicals,” where young performers will explore the energy of a blockbuster era in Broadway’s history where musicals hit an unprecedented high in production, popularity, and pizzazz. Our talented students will sing, dance, and act to beloved shows such as “Grease,” “A Chorus Line,” “Les Miserables,” “Rent,” “Into the Woods,” “Godspell,” and so much more! Join us for an unforgettable journey through Broadway’s most iconic musicals! About Musical Theatre Ensemble FEATURE VIDEOThe Musical Theatre Ensemble is a 10-week program on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:30pm. $320 program fee.Our Musical Theatre Ensemble (MTE) classes will focus on each of the three main concentrations of musical theater; voice, dance, and acting. Great emphasis will be placed on recognizing the relevance of each discipline as it relates to musical theater and preparing students for auditions and musical theatre performances. Each class period will be devoted to- 1) vocal development, 2) improving acting skills, 3) learning choreography; all to help students develop musical theatre skills. The culmination of this course will result with students gaining a broader understanding of musical theater from their participation in a fun and exciting musical theatre performance experience that will increase their abilities and help them to become well rounded performers. About Triple Threat Ensemble Audition-Only Program. To Audition: Send a video singing a verse and chorus of a song that they feel best showcases their voice (No A Capella) to [email protected], Sing & Dance! Triple Threat Training Program is a 10-week program on Tuesday nights from 4:30-5:30pm (Triple Threat 1) OR 7:30-8:30 (Triple Threat 2). $160 program fee. To join the Milton Theatre’s Triple Threat Training Program, students must be dual-enrolled in Musical Theatre Ensemble for that session. A key term in musical theatre training is learning to be a ‘triple threat performer’, which means the ability to act, sing and dance to a high standard. The Triple Threat classes at the Milton Theatre bring these three disciplines together into a unified whole. The emphasis in these classes is to strengthen each of the elements equally to create a well-rounded Triple Threat performer. Only 10 students are accepted into the program each session
